I have a Technika MP3 player, purchased in Tesco, on which I have downloaded music from Limewire. The music is on the device as I can play it from the MP3 player on the computer. But I can’t play any downloaded music on the MP3 player as a portable player (not connected to the computer). Any help would be gratefully received.

Try searching through the mp3 player’s files, as the songs you have stored may be in a different file.
Also make sure that the songs you downloaded were media player files.
If that doesn’t help, just bring it back to Tesco.
Tell them I sent you!!!

I am not familiar with your brand of MP3 player but I can give some general possibilities. All of these are when you’re trying to use it as a portable player and not hooked up to the compter.
1 - I’m assuming you’ve played other MP3 files on this player already and they play ok.
2 - what format are the songs in? MP3, WMA, OGG ??? Are they in a format that your MP3 player normally plays?
3 - do the downloaded songs appear on your MP3 player? If so what happens when you try and play them. If they don’t appear it is possible that either the player does not recognize them or they might be placed in the wrong folder.
